Introduction to your work Introduction

As per the orders of the Hon'ble Government, the work of giving out the lands, schools, classrooms, open spaces, Mangal Office, Pay & Park etc. owned by Ahilyanagar Municipal Corporation on rent basis is done through this department. The details of that work are as follows:

1) Regarding giving out land owned by the Municipal Corporation on rent basis –

First level: Permission is given by the Town Planning Department for the construction of a shopping center on the reserved land of the Municipal Corporation and the construction of the same is done under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department, Municipal Corporation. After the construction of the said shopping center, further action is taken regarding the payment of rent on the basis of rent.

1) The Urban Planning Department of the Municipal Corporation determines the rent and deposit amount of the said shopping center and publishes an open tender for giving the shopping center plots on rent basis at the district level and in the local newspapers. Also, some plots are reserved for backward classes, disabled persons, women's self-help groups, ex-servicemen and others as per the government order.

2) Citizens submit tenders by depositing the required fee online/offline within the stipulated time period as per the open tender.

3) After scrutinizing the tenders submitted through this department, a proposal is submitted to the Hon. Mahasabha / Hon. Standing Committee regarding taking up the said subject. After submitting the proposal, Hon. Mahasabha / Hon. Standing Committee gives its approval.

4) As per the resolution of the Hon. General Assembly / Hon. Standing Committee, the said land is given on rent basis (by making a contract) to the concerned landowner for a fixed period.

5) After the land is given on rent basis, the land rent and other tax bills are paid to the concerned land holder and the recovery is done accordingly.

6) If the concerned landowner does not pay the land rent, a notice of seizure is issued to such landowner as per the rules.

The above procedure is followed in the case of schools, classrooms, open spaces, community centers, parks, etc.

2) Roadside arrangement fee and slaughter fee are collected –

Citizens, handcart holders who sit on the side of the road to sell. Rs. 10/- roadside setting fee and slaughter fee are collected from the handcart holder through the Municipal Corporation employee. Also, sometimes a contract for the collection of the said fee is given. Its functioning is as follows.

1) The annual amount of roadside arrangement fee and slaughter fee shall be fixed at the district level and

An open tender is published in the local newspaper regarding the award of the contract. 2) As per the open tender, the contractor submits the tender by depositing the required fee through online/offline mode within the stipulated time limit.

3) After scrutinizing the tenders submitted through this department, a proposal is submitted to the Hon. Mahasabha / Hon. Standing Committee regarding taking up the said subject. After submitting the proposal, Hon. Mahasabha / Hon. Standing Committee gives its approval.

4) As per the resolution of Hon. General Assembly / Hon. Standing Committee, the said contract is given to the concerned contractor for 1 year (by making a contract).
