Ahilyanagar Municipal Corporation is running 11 schools under the Education Department and all students are provided free education in these schools. Providing primary education to students from all sections of the city and providing educational facilities to students in the city. Providing free textbooks etc. to schools under Samagra Shiksha for classes 1 to 8, providing admission to schools, searching for out-of-school students and including them in the school stream. Providing admission to students from deprived and weaker sections under RTE 25 percent in unaided English medium schools. Implementing various initiatives implemented by the government in primary schools, organizing various health check-up camps for all students in schools with special needs in the city and providing reference services and materials.
