  • The source of the Ahilyanagar Municipal Corporation, City Water Supply Scheme is at Muladharan Dnyaneshwar Reservoir, about 32.00 km from Ahilyanagar city. There is a jackwell and pumping station for the water scheme at Muladharan.
  • Mulanagar Pumping Station has 03 motors/pump sets of 725 horsepower and 03 motors/pump sets of 400 horsepower.
  • The dirty water lifted by motor from the pump house at Mulanagar is brought to the BPT (Balanced Tank) located nearby through different water vessels and from there through 01 water vessel of 700 mm (CI) and 02 water vessels of 1100 mm (PSC) to the Vilad Water Purification Center through a total of 03 water vessels.
  • Water purification projects with capacities of 16, 22, 35 and 45 MLD per day are operational at Vilad Water Purification Center respectively. The untreated water brought from Mulanagar is purified through natural, technical and chemical processes through this water purification project.
  • The purified water at Vilad Water Purification Center is lifted by different motors/pump sets of 300 horsepower, 400 horsepower and 600 horsepower operating from a total of 03 pump houses at Vilad and is brought to Vasant Tekdi for distribution through 03 main water pipes of 600 mm DI, 800 mm MS and 1000 mm MS diameter.
  • Two main balance tanks of 68 lakh liters and 50 lakh liters are operational at the water supply center Vasant Tekdi. In these tanks, the daily distribution of pure water available from Vilad is planned and water is distributed step by step to all the suburban areas including the central part of the city.
